Insects are one of the largest and least visible causes of food loss in Africa. Grain that has been harvested, milled, packed and paid for is still lost in the warehouse, the shop and the home. Packaging is the last line of defence, and ProvisionGard makes it an active one.
Adpack Limited is a Kenyan packaging manufacturer, established in 2013 at Athi River, and holds the exclusive distribution rights for ProvisionGard across Africa. We supply the additive, train converters, run trials with millers, food brands and retailers, and manage the documentation each market needs.
From the material to the market.
We start with the food and the pack, then match the coating, film or adhesive route to the converter’s process. Every new application is confirmed in a side-by-side trial before commercial supply, so the claim on the shelf matches the result in the warehouse.
The technology comes from ProvisionGard Technology LLC in the United States, whose research with the USDA began in 2001 and whose first EPA product registration, for paper packaging, was granted in 2009. The technology has been in commercial use for more than fifteen years, on six continents, with more than 100 brands. Adpack brings that technology, its evidence and its technical support to Africa.
